Integrated advice, across every discipline that shapes your wealth.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about our services.

What makes Confluence different from a traditional financial advisor or accountant?

Most advisors and accountants work in silos. We bring wealth strategy, financial planning, accounting and tax awareness into one coordinated plan — so decisions in one area don't create unintended consequences in another.

Do I need to have significant wealth before working with you?

Not necessarily. We serve individuals, families and business owners who value thoughtful guidance and a clear path forward. What matters most is that you're ready to take an integrated, deliberate approach to your finances.

Can you help with both personal and business finances?

Yes. Many of our clients are business owners, and we specialise in coordinating personal and business balance sheets, tax structures, succession planning and wealth preservation across both.

How do you charge for your services?

It depends on the work involved. Some services are fee-based, others are based on assets under advice. We explain our fees clearly before any engagement begins, and we don't take commissions that could compromise our recommendations.

What happens in the first meeting?

We start by listening. We want to understand your current circumstances, what's working, what's keeping you up at night, and where you'd like to go. From there, we outline how an integrated plan could help and agree on the next steps.

How often will we review my plan?

We typically meet at least once or twice a year for formal reviews, with additional touchpoints when your circumstances change — a new business, a property sale, a retirement decision, or a change in family structure.

Are you registered with SARS and the Financial Sector Conduct Authority?

Our team includes registered tax practitioners and licensed financial planners, and we operate within the relevant regulatory frameworks. We'll explain the specific credentials and registrations relevant to the work we do with you.
